If the nonprofit is registered and verified with Chariot
For nonprofit organizations that have registered and verified their account with Chariot, DAF donations will be disbursed directly from the DAF provider (i.e. Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, etc.) to the nonprofit via ACH, check, or EFT (the method is determined by the selected configuration between the nonprofit and the DAF provider). Funds will be accompanied by a Tracking ID and fees will be invoiced by Chariot. Visit here to learn more about registering and verifying your nonprofit with Chariot.
If the nonprofit is NOT registered and verified with Chariot
For nonprofit organizations that have not registered and verified their account with Chariot, donations be sent to the DAFpay Network (DPN), which will then disburse the funds to the nonprofit minus any associated fees. DPN will try to get direct deposit information from the charity, but if they are not successful, after 60 days they will issue a check. Visit here to learn more about the DAFpay Network and the check issuance policy.
