Yes, it can, if the funds haven't already been sent to the event organizer or the person they designate. You can do this by:
- contacting the event organizer and asking them to log into their fundraiser dashboard and start a refund for your donation, or
- creating a support ticket here requesting a refund and providing as much information as possible: the email address you used when making the donation, your first and last name, the date and amount of the charge, and the last four digits of the payment card you used.
Please note: this only applies to personal fundraisers, not charitable ones, and only if we have not already paid out the funds to the event organizer. If we've already sent them the money, you will have to contact them directly.
