By creating a fundraiser through Pledge, your nonprofit can select your a custom keyword that can be shared with donors who can text to donate to support your cause! Every donation form is Apple Pay & Google Pay enabled, giving users an even faster checkout.
Once you select your keyword, you are free to promote it wherever you like, including on your website, digital ads, emails, events, print materials, or on-air. This service is accessible to over 97% of mobile subscribers in the US on nearly every wireless carrier.
The free product includes a text to donate keyword for any Donation Form or Fundraiser Page created through the Impact Hub! Here’s how it works:
The user texts your keyword to our shortcode (ex: Text TREES to 707070).
Our system replies with a link to the donation form.
The user clicks the link to the web form and fills in the limited amount of info we ask for – users can pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card.
Donation is processed immediately by the Pledgeling Foundation, and a tax receipt is issued via email.
Pledge has a 0% platform fee, but donors are able to provide an optional tip to support our free service. For all donations under $1,000, Pledge also covers the typical 2.9% + 30¢ credit card processing fee. See this article for details on fees.
The Pledgeling Foundation sends payments to the nonprofit at the end of every calendar month (with an option for faster delivery). If the total due is less than $20 and payment is by check, the payment will be delayed up to four months.
